• WELCOME TO THE QUEST DISTANCE LEARNING CLASSROOM

There are a few options for you to you select from.

    1. Option 1: A non-technology option that is hands on and may require you to plan with a sketch and to build a final product with materials in your home.
    2. Option 2: A technology option that will require students to work on the computer to complete a task.
    3. Option 3:  A LEGO challenge which has its own page under my Distance Learning tab.  This is asks students to read LEGO adventure story and complete a build.

Feel free to choose the option that works best for you.  If it is just not possible to engineer today, that is fine too!  Do what is best for your family.

If any of my engineers would like to share their projects, ideas, and/or creations, please feel free to use the email mjaeger@cbsd.org to send their celebrations to me!

I have also set up a FlipGrid account for the QUEST classroom. Use this grid to post your plans, ideas, creations, and/or coding games.  Directions are below.

  • Lego Build Challenge

Hello Brick Masters!  If you have come to this page it is because you LOVE building with bricks as much as I do.  I am going to post a lego build challenge on this page that students in grades 1 - 6 can participate in creating.  I will change the build every week.

Once you create your build, please ask someone at home to take a picture and email it to me at mjaeger@cbsd.org.  If you have access to Seesaw you can post that way too!

These are completely optional activities - just something that let's us use our imagination, tap into our creativity, and let's us have fun while we are at home.

Week 2 - Lego Build Challenge

It is the year 3024 and NASA has sent you to explore a new planet.  Once you land, you are greated by a new species of aliens who are eager to see the planet Earth.  Your transport machine is not working so you are unable to bring the aliens home with you.  But you are in luck.  You always travel with a set of LEGO in your explorer backpack.  Your challenge is to create this alien with lego bricks so that you can share your discovery with the world. If you have more bricks you can use, create the planet that you found your alien on.

Week 1 - Lego Build Challenge

While on an adventure expedition, you have just discovered a new species of an animal that lives in the jungle.  Sadly, your camera was destroyed when you encountered a boa constrictor who completely crushed your device.  You have no way of showing off your new discovery.  But you are in luck.  You always travel with a set of LEGO in your explorer backpack.  Your challenge is to create this animal with lego bricks so that you can share your discovery with the world. If you have more bricks you can use, create the habitat that you found your animal living in.
