    Task 2: Sight Words

     

    Overview: To practice reading sight words

    Estimate Time: 10 minutes

    Explanation of Activity:

    • Read sight words for repetition and review
    • You may: read to yourself, read to someone else, or listen to someone else read to you.

    4. Tap “+ add response”
    5. Tap on the microphone
    6. Read all the sight words on the page

    Overview: To practice decoding words with vowel-consonant-e pattern

    Estimate Time: 10 minutes

    Explanation of Activity:

    • Practice decoding words with suffix -ing
    • You may: read to yourself, read to someone else, or listen to someone else read to you.

    5. Use the text box to type the words. Add the suffix -ing to the end of the words to make show that the action is happening now
    6. Before recording, code the words and practice reading them. Always code suffixes first, then consonant digraphs, and finally code your vowels with a macron or breve.

    5. Don’t forget that suffix -ed has 3 sounds (id)(d) or (t)
    6. Read the words and decide what sound the suffix -ed says. Use the hand to drag the word to the correct sound.

    8. Record yourself reading all of the words on the page. Don’t be nervous if you make a mistake.
