• Math 8/9 (Prealgebra)

    Overview: Students will continue practicing application of the Pythagorean Theorem.

    Time: 30 minutes

    Explanation: Students should review notes, handed out in class on Thursday, 3/12. They will complete the 5.6 Extra Practice worksheet (on loose leaf, or you can print it), found on Canvas. Check answers with key, also on Canvas.

    Things to Know:

    • Pythagorean Theorem is
    • Remember to determine which side of the triangle is c first! (This is the longest side, the hypotenuse, across from the right angle)

    • Refer to notes to review applying Pythagorean Theorem. Refer to power point as needed – slides #28 – 33.

    Explanation: Students will continue working on vocabulary and complete an iReady online lesson.
