Overview: Unit 8 – Diversity and History of Life
Estimated Time: 45 Minutes
Explanation: Students should practice a FRQ and review for the Unit 8 assessment
Tasks:
- Practice FRQ
- On Canvas, open the 2019 FRQ under the Unit 8 Tab
- Open a word doc on your computer, make sure to type your name and block. Write your response to the FRQ. Make sure to label each section so it is easier to grade. Also, leave a few spaces between each section because you will be writing notes. Give yourself 15 minutes to write your response.
- After you have completed your response, go to Canvas and open the 2019 FRQ RUBRIC. Look at the rubric and grade your response. You are going to do this by going into your word doc, and using the pen option on your computer (in draw) and comment, put check marks, and add comments about what you should have added in a DIFFERENT COLOR INK. If you cannot figure out the draw option, mark it by typing in a different color or highlighting your “grading”. At the top of the page next to your name, give yourself a grade.
- Upload this finished document. In Canvas, click on the Assignments tab. At the top, there should be a group that says “Distance Learning.” In that group, find the assignment 2019 FRQ Practice Assignment and click on that. Upload your document here.
