    Overview: Journal writing & Grammar review 

    Estimated Time: 30 minutes 

    Explanation of Activity/Assignment: 

    Students will continue the routine of their weekly self-generative writing.

    Students will review the functions of a comma in writing.

    Quick Things to Know:

    1. Writers react to the world around them and reflect on their experiences.
    2.  Writers follow agreed upon rules in order to communicate.
    3.  Writers review their writing to reflect correct grammar usage.

    Tasks:

    • Use the journal writing template found on OneNote under the "Distance Learning" tab in your content library.  Type a daily journal entry starting for today, Tuesday March 17th. You will journal every day in this document.  This is free writing about anything going on in your world-- this document will not be share with anyone else, so use it as a place of reflection and introspection.    
    • Click through the Khan Academy videos and complete the practices in order as you see them on Canvas.
    • Complete the one sentence reflection at the end of the module.

    Overview: Book Club Meeting/Discussion about the exposition of my novel

    Estimated Time: 30 minutes 

    Explanation of Activity/Assignment: 

    I can share observations and questions about the exposition of my self-selected reading book (SSRB) with my classmates/groupmates. 

    Quick Things to Know:

    Use your Book Club Packet as a reference. 

    Use your SSRB to complete the tasks. 

    Tasks:

    • Complete the Book Club Meeting #1 discussion post on Canvas (pose 1 question and respond to 2 questions of your peers).  You can find the discussion posts on our Canvas Page.
