Drug and Alcohol Awareness/Parent Positive Event

Hosted by Central Bucks School District in cooperation with The CB Cares Educational Foundation, Doylestown Hospital, and The Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission. This important event will feature the Behind Closed Doors exhibit and a showcase of local health, drug and alcohol, and human services organizations.

- 6:30-7 PM - Parent Positive Presentation: "Vaping and Other Drugs" by Doylestown Hospital Director of Pharmacy Dr. Christine Roussel.
- 7 PM - Keynote Remarks by Matt Weintraub, Bucks County District Attorney.
- 7:15-8:15 PM - Moderated Panel Discussion The panel discussion will be moderated by Central Bucks Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education, Dr. Abram Lucabaugh.
Meet our Panelists
Matt Weintraub | District Attorney, Bucks County
Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub is an Upper Southampton native with over a quarter-century of prosecutorial experience. As DA, he and his staff of about 100 have spearheaded and endorsed many ongoing countywide public safety community measures, which include: drug diversion and treatment initiatives, Crimewatch, Ben’s Campaign: a free gunlock distribution initiative, the DUI taskforce and the Drug Strike Force, and the local DNA database. He is passionate about educating the public on justice and public safety in schools and in communities all across Bucks County.
Dr. Christine Roussel | Director of Pharmacy, Doylestown Hospital
Dr. Christine Roussel is the Director of Pharmacy at Doylestown Hospital.
She is a graduate of the University of the Sciences’ Philadephia College of Pharmacy, with a Bachelors of Science in Toxicology and a Doctorate in Pharmacy. She is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of the Sciences.
Dr. Roussel has vast experience working in the clinical setting, doing research and teaching physicians, nurses and pharmacy students. She has authored numerous articles in professional journals and presented nationally. She is the current president of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Dr. Brenda Foley | Assistant Medical Director, Doylestown Hospital Emergency Medical Department
Dr. Brenda Foley is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is the Assistant Medical Director of the Doylestown Hospital Emergency Department. She also serves as President-Elect of the Doylestown Hospital Medical Staff. Dr. Foley joined the hospital in 2008.
Dr. Foley earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed her residency training at Thomas Jefferson Medical School. For the last few years, Dr. Foley has been a board member of the Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission, and was recently voted treasurer of that board.
Dr. Foley initiated the Narcotic Responsible Hospital program at Doylestown Health, and since then has initiated a program of offering MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) for eligible Emergency Department patients. She continues to focus on non-narcotic pain management for patient care. Dr. Foley also works closely with the initiation of the warm handoff program in the Emergency Department through BCARES.
Diane Rosati | Executive Director, Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission
Diane Rosati is Executive Director of Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission, Inc. (BCDAC) the lead drug and alcohol agency in Bucks County. BCDAC, Inc. is the Single County Authority for drug and alcohol services. The mission of the Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc. is to promote healthy individuals, families and communities, eliminate the misuse, abuse and/or addiction to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs and support those in recovery from addiction.
As the state and locally designated Single County Authority for alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, BCDAC, Inc. ensures the provision of a comprehensive and balanced continuum of quality prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery services for Bucks County. Diane has a BA in Psychology and a MA in Counseling Psychology, and has over 35 years of experience in the field of substance use disorder programming, focused in prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery supports.
Roberta Edgar | Co-Founder, Bucks County Grandfamilies Support Group
Roberta Edgar and Beth Jester are the co-founders of BC Grandfamilies Support Group, a support group for those grandparents raising their grandchildren. The group has been meeting for a year now, and have over 25 grandfamilies associated with the support group. We provide understanding; shared experiences; many resources; as well as we bring in pertinent speakers which address the role we find ourselves in with raising children in this stage of our lives.
Roberta, a graduate of Moravian College, is employed by an international software development company. She recently was married to Jesse Whitenight, and they have a blended family of 6 adult children and three grandchildren. Roberta is involved in her church, enjoys pickleball and has been in the same book club for nearly 20 years. She has been raising her grandchild for three years now, and is back on the circuit of dance school classes, gymnastics and children’s birthday parties.
