Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!
Hi! My name is Miss Swantek and I will be your learning support teacher this year at Titus Elementary School. I am so excited that you will be in my class this year! Many of you know me from Titus, but there are also some new faces that I can't wait to meet as we start our year together. I know you are going to love your new school year.
Our Classroom
Our classroom is a very busy place to learn. Our classroom environment is structured by a variety of hands-on learning activities, games and learning centers. We are exploring the use of technology in our learning with computers and an iPad. I love music and I often play it during our learning, especially during writing.
Please feel free to contact me at school through a note or by email, or call me at school once we are back in session. I welcome your thoughts and am looking forward to continue our working together to make it a successful year!
Homework
Yes, we will have homework, but don’t worry about it now. Once we are back into school, I will post homework on our board daily/weekly.
Keeping cool
Our classroom tends to get pretty warm as the temperatures rise. Your child may bring in a water bottle each day and will be allowed to keep it at his/her desk to drink throughout the day.
Enjoy your time at home, and remember to read for enjoyment as much as you can.
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Dr. Seuss
I look forward to seeing you very soon in our classroom!
Your teacher,
Miss Swantek
