Thank you for your interest in the AP Chemistry Partnership Program with the Biotechnology Center in Doylestown.  This is exciting opportunity to take AP Chemistry 'on-site' at the Biotechnology Center and engage in independent research with a mentor.  If you are interested in participating in the future, see you Guidance Counselor during program planning, or contact Mark Hayden (mhayden@cbsd.org).

For the 2018-2019 school year, this program was open to:

    • Students who are enrolled in AP Chemistry for the 2018 - 2019 school year. As part of this program students will take AP Chemistry at the Biotechnology Center during 4th block for marking periods 1, 2, and 3.

    • Students who are prepared to engage in after school research at the facility. As part of this program students will have the opportunity to stay after school hours to work on independent research with mentors at the Biotechnology Center.

    • Students who are 16 years of age on or before the first day of class. This is a requirement of the Biotechnology Center.

    • Students who exhibit a professional work ethic and have the capacity to work independently in a lab setting.

    • Students who can provide their own transportation home from the center. Students will be staying after school hours to engage in independent research.  They will need to provide transportation home.  The school will provide transportation to the center prior to fourth period.

A series of application materials were also submitted.  Due to limited space at the Center, only five students were selected to participate from each high school.
