Meet Mrs. Schorpp
I love being an elementary school teacher! There are so many topics that I am interested in and curious about, so I chose a job which allows me to explore a variety of subjects. I enjoy helping students grow in their skills and interests.
I am a proud graduate of Juniata College with a degree in Elementary Education. I have a Masters degree in Literacy from West Chester University and am a certified reading specialist.
I have a strong interest in history. I attended a teacher's week at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center in Colorado to learn about Native Americans and attended Colonial Williamsburg's Teacher Institute in Virginia. Throughout the year, I continue to learn from the experts at Colonial Williamsburg by participating in webinars on using their methods in the classroom. I am proud that with the help of some former students, we started an after-school history club for 5th and 6th graders at Titus. Our club gives history lovers a place to meet and expand their knowledge.
