Welcome Back!

Welcome Back to School!

  • Hello Parents!

My how time flies! We are less than a month away from the beginning of the school year. It seems like just yesterday we were planning summer getaways and looking forward to swimming and the sun.  I hope this letter finds you well rested and enjoying your summer.

My name is Miss Katie Steele and I will be your child’s autistic support teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. I initially received my bachelor's degree and certification in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language at Penn State University and have completed my master's degree in Special Education from Lehigh University. I began my teaching career as a special education teacher at Centennial School of Lehigh University, which is an approved private school serving students with a diagnosis of autism and emotional disturbance.

A parent survey will be coming home shortly. Please take some time to fill this out as this helps me to connect with your child. You will also find a “supply list” attached as well. The survey and supplies can be delivered during Kutz’s Open House starting.

I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom. Additionally, we must work together to make this happen.  My door is always open. If you would like to share something, please feel free to send an email or leave a message on my voicemail. I check both daily.

I look forward to working with you. I know that with your support this year will be a success.

     Sincerely,

    Katie Steele
