• Hello and welcome to 4th grade! My name is Alexis Davenport and I am your child's 4th grade teacher. In 2000, I attended Groveland Elementary as a 1st grade student. The memories I have made at Groveland are such a huge part of the reason that I am so passionate about teaching. This will be my fifth year as a Butler Bear and I look forward to continuing to grow as a member of the Butler community! I am sure that we will work together as a team to ensure the most successful year possible for your fourth grader. One of my biggest goals for this year is to instill a desire for life-long learning in each of my students.

I am a graduate of Saint Joseph's University and I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (PK-4) and Special Education (PK-8) in May of 2016. I also have a minor in Autism Studies. Upon graduating, I had the opportunity to start as a district floating substitute in the Central Bucks School District. With this position, I was able to teach in various schools (elementary, middle, and high) throughout our district. In January of 2017, I then became Groveland's preferred building substitute. In May of 2019, I obtained my Master's in Special Education through Saint Joseph's University. I look forward to building a safe, caring, and kind classroom community that focuses upon Butler's attributes of understanding, teamwork, leadership, educational excellence, and respect.

As a reminder, I do not require any additional supplies other than what is provided on the 4th grade supply list! Please also make sure your child has a dismissal note on the first day so that I know how your child plans on getting home safely. Please do not forget a lunch or lunch money, a small snack, and a positive attitude! Students, I will see you on August 29th!
