Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Heidi Long
I am entering my 27th year in Central Bucks School District. Throughout my years in CB, I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades at Kutz and Warwick Elementary. I was also the Student Support Counselor at Groveland for 11 years of my career and this will be my fourth year as a PEN teacher. I am beyond excited to continue this year as a PEN teacher. Although my roles have changed as an educator over the years, my passion has remained the same: inspiring children and teaching children to inspire others. Each day my goal is for each of my students to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. My hope is for my students to be the very best version of themselves at school and at home.
I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees from Penn State University in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership. I also completed an Autism Certification Program at LaSalle University. Finally, I earned my K-12 Supervisory Certification from St. Joseph's University.
My family lives in Horsham. My husband and I have four children (Tanner 21, Sorrell 18, Hunter 17, Morgan 17) that keep us actively involved in community activities and sports. When I am not teaching, you will find me on a sideline cheering for my kids, creating hands-on projects at home, doing HIIT or spin workouts, playing outside with our animals, reading a book, gardening, cooking, or just spending time with my family and friends.
