Course Recommendations:

For Academic Classes- Most students stay in the academic track.  If a student has 93% or above at the time of recommendations and makes contributions in class on a daily basis, and has advanced writing skills, he/she may be recommended for Honors.  The student should show the intiative to set up a meeting with Mr. Kelly to discuss placement.

For Honor Classes- Most students stay in the Honors track.  If a student has a 95% or above at the time of recommendations, makes contributions in class on a daily basis, and has college-level writing skills, he/she may be recommended for Advanced Placement. The student should show the intiative to set up a meeting with Mr. Kelly to discuss placement.  If a student has an 86% average or below, does not participate in class, has issues completing assignments, relies too heavily on others to get work done, or exhibits weakness in writing, he/she may be recommended for ther academic track.
