Mr. Bishop

Welcome!  My name is Mr. Bishop and this is my 10th year teaching at Lenape.  I attended Pennridge High School and Gwynedd-Mercy College for my undergraduate studies.  I also hold two Masters Degrees - both from Wilkes University.  I am married to my best friend, Lori, who also happens to be a teacher within the Pennridge School District. We have a nine year old Yorkshire Terrier named Zeke who truly is like a child to us!  In my free time, I enjoy riding my bicycle, kayaking, traveling to new (and familiar!) places and pretty much doing anything that allows me to be active and outdoors.

Below is my basic philosophy on teaching and learning:

 - Each student brings a unique set of skills to the classroom

 - Not all students learn the same way

 - Students learn best when they are motivated by the content, teaching style, and provided with a consistent routine

 - Getting to know one another and building open relationships is essential to the learning process

 - Students need to be challenged, yet enjoy what they are learning

 - Content must be relevant, tied to real-world scenarios, and reinforced through various mediums

Below are my expectations for the classroom:

 - Follow Directions (the first time that they are given)

 - Expected Actions (doing what is expected for the given situation)

 - Come to Class on Time and Prepared (binder, textbook, pen/pencil, agenda, etc.)

 - Respect Others (speaking respectfully, showing kindness towards others, etc.)

 - Participate and Complete Assigned Work (volunteering, engagement, etc.)
