Comprehensive Plan
-
Mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), the effort is essentially a needs assessment process relative to eight core foundations, as labeled by the Commonwealth: standards, curriculum, instruction, assessments, safe and supportive schools, materials and resources, professional education, and special education.
The District Level Comprehensive Plan for July 2020 through June 2023 was presented to the curriculum committee of the board on October 2, 2019. The CBSD Board of School Directors approved the final plan and its submission to PDE on November 12.
Every three years, a school entity must submit to the U.S. Secretary of Education for approval a comprehensive plan. Prior to submission, the plan is made available for public inspection and comment before it is subjected to approval by the board and then submitted to PDE.
