    Hello 4th graders,

I cannot believe that summer is ending and school will begin soon.  As your teacher for the upcoming school year, I would like to warmly welcome you to fourth grade!  We are going to have a busy and exciting year.  We spoke about all of the exciting things you will be learning about during move up day.  I am looking forward to getting to know you.

We will have lots of time to learn and have fun this year! As your teacher, my goal is to provide an active, comfortable, and nurturing environment where all of my students are able to enjoy learning and reach their full potential, all while having fun. I will work with you to set goals during the year and we will work together to accomplish those goals.

I look forward to seeing you on the first day of school. Please see our 4th grade supply list for what materials to bring with you the first week of school. I also strongly encourage you to bring two independent reading books from home to have during silent reading time, as we adjust to our daily routine during the first few weeks of school.  Also, please bring in a healthy, peanut free snack for the afternoon.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and welcome to 4th grade!

    Your teacher,

    Mrs. Sherman
