I wish for each student in the band to have an enjoyable, productive, and meaningful experience applying the skills learned in weekly lessons to make music together. To ensure that each student has the best experience possible certain expectations and requirements are necessary during morning rehearsal time. Please review the following criteria, then detach, sign, and return the acknowledgement below.

    1. Preparation:

Each student must practice his/her assigned music at home, make it a homework habit.

    1. Materials:

Each student must have his/her instrument, band folder with music, and a pencil.

    1. Etiquette:

Once the conductor (Mr. Robinson) takes his place in front of the band, all instrument playing and conversation must stop, and students are to go to resting position. We will then warm up and tune before rehearsing the music. All students are expected to be cooperative, attentive, and on their best behavior at all times.

    1. Clean Up:

At the conclusion of rehearsal, everyone is expected to help put away chairs and stands.

Good attendance at morning rehearsals is essential to the success of our spring concert. Since band rehearsals are before school students will need to get a ride to Bridge Valley. Please drop off students in the back of the school by the gym between 7:25-7:30am. Please note the cones and traffic patterns around the back of the school for the safety of the students.

*If there is a delayed opening due to inclement weather the morning rehearsal will be cancelled.

Thank you for your support! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any and all questions.

    Mike Robinson

    Band Director
