Kindergarten: Simple Games and Locomotor Movements

Students will learn to perform basic locomotor movements such as skipping, hopping, and galloping, as well as, balance skills and introductory tumbling skills. Hand/foot-eye coordination skills are stressed which include catching, bouncing, throwing, kicking, and passing skills. Students will also move to music in structured and creative ways. Games of low organization provide students with opportunities to learn to follow rules and become a responsible team player in an enjoyable way. Classes are designed to keep students moving at a pace enabling a variety of anaerobic/aerobic activities.
