MEET MRS. WILLIAMS
Hi! My name is Mrs. Williams and I’m so excited to be teaching at Doyle and Linden this school year! More importantly, I am thrilled to be your P.E. teacher! It’s going to be a FUN school year filled with fitness, sports and lifetime activities. I look forward to meeting you, connecting with you and to learning more about all of you this school year. Here are a few things about me:
I was raised in Bensalem, PA. I am the oldest sister of three. My sisters and I are very close and we are in the fields of helping others; teaching and nursing.
I earned my B.S. in Health and Physical Education with a Concentration in Dance from East Stroudsburg University. During my time at ESU, I taught, choreographed and performed with the Contemporary Dancers Dance Company. For two college summers, I was afforded a partial scholarship to the American Dance Festival (ADF) at Duke University where I obtained post-bachelor credits. I earned my M. Ed in Educational Leadership from Temple University.
In addition to my love for working with children and movement in the P.E. setting, I have a passion for fitness. I enjoy all formats of fitness but my favorites are yoga, pilates, step aerobics and HIIT styles of group exercise. I like to find ways to bring contemporary fitness modes (Cross Fit, Pyropilates etc.) to the school setting.
This is my 27th school year in CB. Over the years, I’ve worked in 10 CB elementary school buildings. I continue to enjoy spreading my passion for children and movement, the art of teaching and learning and the pleasure of meeting and interacting with EVERYONE (students, parents, faculty and staff, administrators). I love embracing the culture of each unique community and school building.
I love my family! My husband and I have two wonderful children (Julia: Age 24 and Ryan: Age 13). Our golden retrievers Denali and Sonoma are playful and sweet. We enjoy playing board games , traveling and spending time with family and friends.
