After studying the different ways authors organize and present information, students chose a state in the U.S. (other than PA) and did some presearch to try to discover what interested them about the state. It could relate to geography, landforms, attractions, history, famous people, cultural aspects, etc. Students then had to determine three main ideas within the topic of their state, conduct research using books and online resources, turn their notes into organized paragraphs, revise, edit, participate in peer conferences, and publish their final product. Students worked hard on this assignment. Enjoy, and thanks for reading!
