Tuck EverlastingThis captivating fantasy addresses the theme of immortality through the experiences of the Tuck family and Winnie Foster. What would it be like to live forever? Would it be a blessing or a curse? As most young people confront the issues of growing up and facing their future, they also discover the need to take risks in order to grow and change, the fear of dying, and the meaning of life itself. The Tuck family and Winnie face all of these issues and more as the struggle to keep their special secret.As a class, we will read aloud chapters from Tuck Everlasting. Students will then reread independently and answer comprehension questions. They will meet in small literature groups to discuss what was read that day.
