My name is Kristen Masciantonio. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I attended the University of Pittsburgh where I obtained both my undergraduate degree and master's degree in education. My favorite college memories are working for the University of Pittsburgh Child Development Center and cheering for the university. I'm a Steeler fan....although both of my children root strickly for the Eagles. I started my teaching career in Pittsburgh in 2000. I was an instructional support teacher for 1 year in Mt. Lebanon School District and taught fourth grade for 7 years in Burrell School District. When my husband was transferred for work, we relocated to Bucks County. I taught sixth grade for 6 years at Groveland. This will be my third year at Jamison. I took a few years off teaching while my daughter battled a brain tumor. I'm happy to share that she is off treatment, doing well and continues to get a little stonger each day. My family is everything to me. My husband sells consumer products and enjoys coaching sports. Our son Dominic is 9 years old. He's the best big brother. He loves all Philadelphia sports, wrestling, playing soccer, and math. Gianna, our little super hero, is 5 years old. She loves playing with other kids, painting, drawing, reading and riding horses. In any free time, I enjoy helping kids battling pediactric cancer and practicing yoga. I love teaching. I'm proud to be your teacher this year. Here are some pictures of my family and special memories in the classroom over the past 20 years.
