Mrs. Amy Bullard
My name is Amy Bullard and I teach fourth grade at Gayman Elementary School. I began my path to education at the University of Delaware where I graduated with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education. From there, I taught learning support in the Southern Lehigh School District and Upper Perkiomen School District for my first five years of experience. Shortly after completing my graduate work at Wilkes University, I landed a position right here at Gayman Elementary in first grade. Since I arrived at Gayman, I have achieved National Board Certification and I have taught first, third, and fourth grades. I am looking forward to my twenty-ninth year in the classroom with your children!
My family and I live in Doylestown and love to visit the library, local parks, and walk around in town on nice summer evenings. My husband and I have two daughters, one in her junior year at Penn State University and another in her senior year at Central Bucks East High School. Of course, our family would not be complete without our two new puppies, Dakota and Willow. On any given weekend, you can often see us on a soccer or field hockey field, but we also love to play games and bike ride together. The Outer Banks is one of our family's favorite vacation spots!
Since I joined the Gayman Elementary community in 2000, I have always appreciated the warmth and support of the families at our school. Teaching students to love reading is one of my greatest professional passions and to achieve that, it is imperative that we have a strong home and school bond. I look forward to building a relationship with you so we can have a great year together!
