WHEN TO KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME FROM SCHOOL
CHILDREN SHOULD BE KEPT AT HOME IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE
- Fever of 100.4 degrees or higher. Students may not return to school until fever free without medication for 24 hours.
- Vomitting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours.
- A communicable disease.
- Active head lice. Students may return once treated with pediculocide shampoo and combed for nit removal. A parent/guardian is required to accompany the student to the health office for nursing assessment prior to being readmitted to class.
- Rash with a fever.
