    Mrs. Snyder

    Welcome to Second Grade!

My name is Mrs. Snyder, and I am so excited to be a second grade teacher! This will be my 12th year teaching at Titus, and it is my second year teaching second grade. Before coming to second grade, I taught first grade and sixth grade. I grew up right here in Warrington and was even a student at Titus when I was younger! My husband and I now live in Warminster with our five-year-old black lab, Kona. You’ll hear many stories about Kona this year. He is such a silly pup! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy baking, learning about the weather, and spending time with my family and friends. Every year, my sister and I join the Peddler’s Village Gingerbread Competition. We have won an award in our category for three years in a row! I’m excited to share this year’s creation with you! I am also a trained weather spotter for the National Weather Service. This means I can share my weather observations when we get rain or snow storms. I often say that if I wasn’t a teacher, I would own my own bakery, or I would be a meteorologist.

At Titus, you can find me in room 403.  In our room, our class is a family. We support each other, care for each other, help each other, and most importantly, we learn from one another, too! I am excited to share the wonderful things we will learn this year. In science, we will study rocks, animal habitats, and sound. In social studies, we will learn about maps, communities, and Native American life. We will also become stronger readers, and we will do a lot of writing. In math, we will practice addition, subtraction, time, money, and we will grow as problem solvers.

I am so excited to learn and grow together this year. I can’t wait to meet and get to know more about you. It is going to be a fantastic year!!
