Modern art boxes
Students created modern art boxes using the basic elements of art as their inspiration.  Their concerns were connecting lines, shapes, colors, textures, values, and forms into an interesting sculptural piece, which they then built in earthenware clay.  Black ink was applied to the clay and allowed to dry before adding color on top, which enhanced each surface, according to each child’s aesthetic.
