Students in 8th grade art typically create an
Advertising Design project, in which they have to create an advertisement
for a real ad campaign. Once the parameters of the campaign are explained
and understood, they come up with their ad ideas. They are asked to
include an appealing visual and verbal message, to communicate the need
for the given concept or product. The images below are for the National
AAA Safety Poster Program, which asked students in grades 5-8 to promote
the concept "How to be a good passenger." Some
ideas were "Buckle up"
"Don't distract the driver"
"No cell phones or changing the CD or radio while
driving"
"Be a good passenger"
We hope the student entries do well in the
competition and we're proud of their carefully illustrated ads to promote
safe driving! |
