This course is designed for those students with excellent mathematical
ability
and interests, who have successfully completed the elementary math
series,
including pre-algebraic concepts. It extends previously learned
arithmetic skills
to expressions involving variables.
Major topics include linear equations and inequalities, exponents, polynomials, factoring, quadratic
equations, proportions,
functions, data analysis, applications and problem solving.
