Dress- school attire is the
appropriate dress for school dances. As expected, if there is a violation
of school guidelines, appropriate action will be taken.
Dancing- Unami
dances are held to offer students the opportunity to socialize and have
fun in a positive environment. Running, moshing, sandwiching,
grinding, and crowd surfing are not permitted. If need be, parents
will be contacted to take their child home.
Music-The DJ,
staff and students will select music from an edited version play list.
The volume of the music will be adjusted per administrators request.
Provocative language and vulgar lyrics are not appropriate for middle
school.
Lighting and DJ-
Lighting needs to be maintained for safety and welfare of those in
attendance. The DJ crew needs to respond to the requests of
administration in this area. If safe accent and atmospheric lighting
can’t be provided…gym lights will be used.
ID- Unami dances
are for Unami students only. Students need to use school ID to enter
dances. Those w/o ID will sign-in and be verified by a teacher on duty.
Dance cost will reflect an additional charge for those w/o ID.
Chaperones-The
evening of the dance ALL parent chaperones must report by 7:10 for
training. They will be introduced to the staff in charge and instructed
as to procedures and guidelines. Additional teachers/chaperones will
assist with crowd control on the dance floor. All chaperones will be
provided with nametags for identification.
