Every minute of
every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer
donor, a person like you who takes just a few minutes to donate. There is
no substitute for your donation. Your blood donation could save the live
of a cancer patient, a teenager who has been in an accident or a premature
infant.
The American Red
Cross Penn-Jersey Region, which serves over 125 southeastern Pennsylvania
and New Jersey hospitals, has issued an emergency appeal for blood donors
and is advising the public that the blood supply is in extremely critical
condition.
*Federal regulations require donors to
wait 56 days between whole blood donations. Please bring some form of ID
such as an American Red Cross blood donor card or your driver's license. |
