| Located in Buckingham Township in historic Bucks County Pennsylvania, Central Bucks High School East is a large suburban high school replete with tradition, culture and academic excellence. Recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2002 and featured in Newsweek magazine as one of the top high schools in the nation in 2010, opportunities for social, emotional and academic growth at East are abundant. Believing that our students’ success is proportionate to their level of involvement, the administration and faculty of East encourage students to take part in a vast array of academic, athletic and other co-curricular pursuits. The majority of students are involved in multiple activities, enabling the culture of East to continually reflect a sense of community and connectedness. |

Historically, Central Bucks East enjoys a reputation of academic excellence. Due to a rich curriculum that offers 17 Advanced Placement courses and many engaging electives in addition to the core curriculum, over 94 percent of CB East graduates choose to continue their education, consistently gaining acceptance to some of the most prestigious universities and colleges in the nation. Further evidence of East's success can be found in its performance on nationally standardized tests, which compare the results of our students with their national counterparts.

In 2010, CB East students scored 205 points higher than their statewide counterparts, and 169 points higher than their national counterparts on the SAT exam. While state and national SAT averages continue to hold steady, East students continue to make significant gains in achievement! |
