Ever wonder how to pick a book you are sure
to enjoy? The articles on this page will help point you in the right
direction. Younger students should use the 5 Finger Test to help decide if
the book will be readable or a struggle. Everyone would benefit from
thinking about How To Choose A Good Book, and Central Bucks teachers and
librarians have put together a really great list of authors in the Authors No
Child Should Miss lists. The lists are divided into types (genre) of books
and there is a list for K - 3 and one for 4 - 6. You can also link to the
American Library Association's lists of
Caldecott and
Newbery Award winning
books. Don't forget to ask Miss Thomas or the public librarian for
suggestions!!
