Who Wrote These Biographies? The biographies in this site were researched and written by Mrs. Melissa Yates, one of Buckingham Elementary School's librarians. The purpose of these biographies is to provide information for our students on a level that they can read. Mrs. Yates has a bachelor's degree in Library Science from Millersville University and a Master's Degree in Education from Arcadia University. She has been a school librarian since 1974. Much energy and care has been used to see that the information included in the biographies is accurate. A list of sources used in the creation of each biography can be found in the Sources section.
The photographs in the Mercer Tile section were taken by master
schoolteacher Maureen Book, who traveled to Harrisburg many times with her
fourth grade class. |
