Ms. Weikel

Did you know that we have a new gym teacher replacing Mrs. Luethe? Her name is Ms.Weikel and she just came out of East Stroudsburg College, located in the Poconos. She loved exercise as a kid and continues to love exercise as an adult. Her love for kids makes her perfect for the gym teacher profession. She has tried hard to get this job and finally has it. She will do very well as our new gym teacher.

Born 1983 in Langhorne, 23 years ago, Ms.Weikel developed a love for soccer and other sports involving exercise. She lived in Council Rock School District, a sports rival of Central Bucks, and started playing soccer for Council Rock’s team. Even as an adult she has loved to spend time with her family along with her friends. With her family she has always liked to walk the dog and go to the park. A more thrilling thing she loves to do with her family is wake water rafting, a very fun outdoor sport.

Ms.Weikel has made plans for gym that are both new and exciting. Some things Mill Creek students will be doing in gym class are soccer, football, and survivor. Soccer is starting and one reason that Ms.Weikel plans to do this unit in gym class is because she has loved soccer her whole life. She is trying to join or start a local soccer club so she can continue playing like she did in college. The unit we are doing in February is football which Ms.Weikel loves to watch. She is an Eagles fan and she hates the Cowboys. Another unit that we are doing is survivor. It is a unit where teams compete against each other to get feathers. the team with the most feathers wins. The 6th grade survivor night has come early this year, due to Mrs.Luethe’s leave. Ms.Weikel still will do the survivor unit because of the other grades that also participate in the unit.

Mill Creek is welcoming Ms.Weikel to our school. She is becoming a great gym teacher and loves all the kids at Mill Creek. She has always loved exercise and continues to do so. Ms.Weikel is a perfect replacement for Mrs.Leuthe and will be very sad when she has to leave Mill Creek next year. Mill Creek welcomes Ms.Weikel to our school.
