bulletStudents will have five days to complete the missed assignments and/or conference with teachers and schedule time to complete the work.

bulletStudents are expected to prepare themselves to participate in class activities and assessment upon return.

Second Chance Learning Policy

bullet

Second-chance learning is available to students who score less than a 70% on a major/summative assessment and who have completed the unit review sheet.

bullet

An assessment score can be increased to a 70% through second chance learning.  The second chance task may take the form of an alternate version of the assessment.  The score from the second chance assessment will replace the score of the first assessment.

bullet

Students choosing to take advantage of second chance learning to increase their proficiency must first complete the unit review activity, spend either Resource or after-school time with Mrs. Dorman for a re-teaching session, and review on their own.  After completing these steps, students are eligible for a second chance assessment.
