History of Doyle Elementary School
|
|
| |
Doyle Elementary School was
the second elementary school in Doylestown, built in 1966 at the northern
end of the Borough and is surrounded by soccer and softball fields as well a
wooded area with a nature trail. The school underwent a complete renovation
in 1999 and currently accommodates 480 students, Kindergarten through 6th
grades, served by 20 classroom teachers, 19 specialists and 22 supporting
staff members.
We are proud
to be a part of the Central Bucks school district where the academic and social
success of our students is the focus of all we do. Our goal at Doyle is to
create an atmosphere where students are respectful to all, responsible for their
behavior, cooperate with others, are good citizens and academically successful.
Every effort is made to the individual social, emotional and physical needs of
each child. To do this, parents, teachers, staff and students work together in a
cooperative spirit.
After 6th grade, Doyle students will move on to Lenape Middle
School and later to Central Bucks West High School.
