The Central Bucks School
District offers music instruction to all of its students from grades one
through twelve. Our music department continues to strengthen what we believe is
a highly successful public school music program. Although all of our district music
teachers are certified in Pennsylvania to teach all areas of music, our
teachers
instruct students in their particular areas of expertise. Many of our
award-winning high school performing ensembles are nationally recognized for
their excellence. We continue to investigate new teaching methods to develop
and strengthen our music program, including the integration of
music technology into the music curriculum.
Our music teachers strive
to develop the talents of our fine young performing musicians. We also
take very seriously our responsibility to assist all of our students in
developing an understanding of, and appreciation for, the art of music. Our
Standards-based courses are designed to help our students become complex
thinkers, self-directed learners, effective and creative communicators,
informed and responsible citizens, collaborative workers and quality
producers.
