     This course provides a study of child development from birth through five. It offers a balanced selection of topics concerning growth and stages of development.  Students extend their understanding  through a service learning partnership at a local childcare facility.  Topics include pregnancy, delivery and the care of children from infancy through preschool.  Students will have an opportunity to practice parenting skills with a  computerized baby.
