ELEMENTARY HEALTH

The Central Bucks Elementary Health Curriculum is comprised of three content strands: Safety Strand, Human Body Strand, and Wellness Strand. The health curriculum addresses both national and state standards and is delivered to our students by classroom teachers, physical education teachers, school nurse, and other staff members.

Newly revised materials have been prepared for the Personal Safety Curriculum (Dangerous Stranger program) , The Human Growth and Development Curriculum, The HIV-AIDS Curriculum, and for 6th Grade classrooms in Warwick and Warrington Townships where the D.A.R.E. and Project Alert Programs have been discontinued and a substitute T.A.O.D. (Tobacco, Alcohol and Other Drugs) curriculum has been developed.

The curricular materials for the health strands may be reviewed and downloaded by clicking on the navigation buttons above and to the right.

For additional information or questions on materials or content, please contact the building Principal, School Nurse, or the district Elementary Health and Physical Education Administrative liaison.
