The following is a list of the many student activities at Central Bucks High School East. If you have questions about an activity, see the listed advisor or Mrs. Cheryl Leatherbarrow. If you have an interest in an activity not listed, click here for the steps to starting an activity.

Amnesty International - Ms. Catherine Balloch is the advisor for East's chapter of this world-wide organization whose mission it is to promote internationally recognized human rights. See http://www.amnetsy.org/ for more information about this important cause.
Argestes (Yearbook) - Contact Mr. Steve Bercik, or better yet... ask you guidance counselor how you can take Yearbook as an elective class!
Band Front - Members accompany the Band at all football games, parades, and trips. See Mr. Jason Morehouse. Check out the East Band Parent Web Page.
Book Club - This club is just forming this year. See Ms. Colleen Rosini or Ms. Tricia Conn if you would like to be involved.
CBEJA (Central Bucks East Juggling Association - If you enjoy juggling or would like to learn to juggle, see Ms. Michelle Fabrey.

Chess Club - If you like to play chess or want to learn, grab your board and see Mr. Steven Bercik.
CFC (Christian Fellowship Club) - See Ms. Brenda Hendrickson for CFC meeting times.

Dance Team - If you want to learn more about the Dance Team, contact Mr. Robert Olson.
ELC (East Leadership Council) - Comprising of one representative from each of the other clubs and activities, the ELC meets quarterly with Mrs. Lb to help bridge communication and planning between clubs. Email Mrs. L'Hommedieu to make sure that your club has a representative.
East Wind - This is our school newspaper. Contact Ms. Aubrey Levy if interested.
Fantasy Football - If you are interested in joining this new club, see Mr. Matthew Riley.
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) - An extension of our Christian Fellowship Club, see Mr. Ryan Kelly for more information on when and where this club meets.

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) - Open to any student. Contact Ms. Virginia Kownurko if interested.

Interact Club - If you are interested in joining this Junior Rotary Club, affiliated with the Doylestown Rotary Club, contact Mr. Chad O'Brien.
Japanese Culture Club - If you are interested in more information about this club, please see Ms. Melody Mullis.
JSA (Junior State of America Chapter) - A national organization that promoting political awareness. JSA is a non-partisan, student-run group that strives to teach young people about government and to develop leadership and public speaking skills. East JSA's goal is to involve the student body in considering local, national, and international issues; and, to encourage an understanding and consciousness of the U.S. government and its place in international society. Key Club - A community service organization, Ms. Christine Scott is the advisor.
Latin Honor Society (Junior Classical League) - See Ms. Elizabeth Raber for information.
Mock Trial Club - See Mr. Timothy Michael for more information.
Music Club - This club is new this year. To learn more about what they do, see Mr. Matthew Quinn for more information.
NRG ("En-er-gy") - East's Student Health and Wellness Club. See Ms. Denise Ericcson or Ms. Jeanne O'Hara for more information.
OEG (Operation Eternal Gratitude) - This is a military support group whose goal is to remember those lives lost on September 11, 2001 and to offer assistance to the families of military personnel during deployment. See Ms. Virginia Kownurko for more information.
Patriot Players - The advisor for Patriot Players is Ms. Sasha Eisenberg. The phone number for Patriot Players is 267-893-7567.
Phantasmagoria (Literary Magazine) - Contact Mr. Robert Trachtenberg (English Department) or Mr. Davide Mussari (Art Department) if interested.
Physics Club - If you enjoy learning physics and want to find out how it affects the world around you through experiments, discussion and research, see Mr. Andrew Bauer about joining this club.
Reading Olympics - This student group enjoys meeting to discuss literature. It also participates in Montgomery and Bucks counties' Reading Competitions. Ms. Amy Czop is the advisor.
Scholars Bowl - Members enter academic competition with other high schools in Bucks County. Mr. Andrew Bauer is the advisor.
Science Olympiad - Members practice together for various events in the Science Olympiad. Contact Ms. Loretta Doggendorf and Ms. Pamela Eggleston for more information.
See Green - This is East's environmental club. They have received district and county recognition for their recycling efforts. They also go to local areas to keep our environment clean. See Ms. Angelque Auger or Mr. Matthew Quinn if you are interested.

Ski Club - Ms. Angelque Auger is the advisor for this club.

Spirit Committee - In an effort to boost East pride and spirit, we have formed a spirit committee comprised of students, parents, teachers and administrators. Join this group in planning fun events throughout the year. Email or see Mrs. Vanessa Power or Mrs. Christina Nickett.

World Affairs - Open to all students interested in international politics. Contact Mr. Mac Mosley of the Social Studies Department in you are interested.
World Poverty Awareness Club - If you are interested in increasing awareness of world poverty and taking action to help other people who suffer from poverty, please contact Mr. Robert Olson.
Young Democrats Club - See Mr. Keith Sinn about meeting times.
Young Republicans Club - See Mrs. Elizabeth Raber for meeting times.

Starting a New Club or Activity

If you are interested in starting a new club, please follow these instructions:

Make sure the above listed clubs do not already cover your interest area. Read their descriptions; visit their web sites if available.
Write a proposal. This should include the club's mission, types of activities envisioned, fund raising activities (if needed), frequency of meetings and meeting location(s).
Find an advisor: Take your proposal to a teacher (or teachers) who may be interested in advising this new club. The new advisor needs to sign the proposal.
Bring your signed proposal to Mrs. Leatherbarrow's office. She will review it and discuss it with you.

There has been interest in starting the following clubs:

- Gardening Club
- Crochet & Knitting Club
If you would like to take a leadership role in turning these ideas into clubs, please follow the above steps.
