A Letter From Your House Principal...

February/March 2008

Dear Seniors,

One semester down, one more to go! Congratulations for your leadership and many successes thus far!

Our class council did an excellent job designing and getting your input on a Class of 2008 Senior t-shirt. The shirts are on sale for $10. If you are interested in buying a shirt, you may see Ms. Conn (229) or Ms. Remar (236). These shirts will also be on sale during homeroom and during lunches.

At the Senior Class Assembly on February 13th, Mr. Lucabaugh talked to you about some pretty important stuff. We hope you take away from that talk the desire to make the most of each opportunity you have. Here is a link to the slide show that you saw... www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljbI-363A2Q. Remember, in the words of  Benjamin S. Carson..."think big!"

Also at the assembly, we announced CBE's first ever Senior Day! On March 7th school is only open for a half-day. On this day, we want your class to have fun and celebrate your years together. We will start promptly at 7:25 with the Senior Class photo taken in the gymnasium. Seniors with late arrival, if you snooze, you lose... so be sure to set your alarm clocks and be here on time. After the class photo we will move to the cafeteria for breakfast "on the house." Take this time to catch up with friends and enjoy a delicious breakfast... FREE! We will then move to the auditorium to be entertained by Comedy Hypnotist, Brian Eslick. If you are interested in being hypnotized as a part of the show, you must get a waiver from Ms. Conn (229) or Ms. Remar (236) and have it signed/returned by the end of February.

OLDIES BUT GOODIES: here are some old topics that remain on this page because they are important...

Be sure to visit your guidance counselors' enotes regarding transcript requests, recommendations, etc. If you need to schedule an appointment to see your guidance counselor, email Mrs. Reilly in the Guidance Center.

Late Arrival/Early Release: If you will be in school during a time you have been assigned LA/ER, you must go to the room assigned to you on your schedule. Otherwise, you must arrive or leave quietly just before or after your class begins/ends.

Adding/Dropping Classes: If you wish to add/drop a class, you will need to fill out a request form. Since we staffed and scheduled our school based on your course selections, we want you to stay with the courses you chose unless you need a level change or did not meet a prerequisite for a class.

Parking Permits: Be sure you have all of your obligations fulfilled so that you can obtain a parking permit. Be careful driving. Allow plenty of time to arrive safely and on time to school. Note: you will lose your permit temporarily if you acquire obligations.

Be safe and stay warm!

Sincerely,

Mrs. L
House Principal, Class of 2008
