About the World Affairs Club...

The World Affairs Club, also known as WAC, is an organization designed to provide an opportunity for students to learn about and discuss local, national and world issues and events. During the school year, Central Bucks East's WAC leads a Model United Nations for the entire district and attends the Model Congress held by Central Bucks West. In past years students have been involved in charity drives for international causes and with organizing "Kids Voting" activities for the school district. Students have the opportunity to interact with students throughout the district and region, participate in debate on issues using parliamentary procedure and hold leadership positions.

The club's advisor is Mr. Mosley and the club meets from September to May on approximately every other friday.

The World Affairs Club began in the Central Bucks School District in 1976 with the first Model Congress held in 1977 and first Model UN in the 1980s. WAC began at CB East in 1990. The World Affairs Club of Philadelphia has recognized CB East in the past as a "School of Excellence" for our WAC activities.
