The Academy of American
Poets - The Academy of American Poets can
find essays on poetry, biographies of more than 200 poets, text of nearly 600

Academy and its programs; discuss poetry and share their own work with fellow
web travelers; find out what poetry events are happening in their towns; and
much more.
American Verse Project - This is a collaboration between the University of Michigan Press and the Humanities Text Initiative that is assembling an electronic archive of volumes of American poetry prior to 1920. This is the place to turn for works by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Edgar Lee Masters, Robert W. Service, and Sara Teasdale among others.
Bohemian Ink - This includes biographies of writers and poets (as well as links to other biographies which may be more extensive) who fall under such categories as absurdist, postmodernist, beat poet, etc. It also includes links to some of their works, photographs, and links to other related web resources such as newsgroups, scholarly papers based on the author/poet, articles, essays, and bibliographic information. The Internet Poetry Archive - The University of North Carolina Press joins the UNC Office of Information Technology in publishing the Internet Poetry Archive. The archive will make available over a worldwide computer network selected poems from a number of contemporary poets. The goal of the project is to make poetry accessible to new audiences (at little or no cost) and to give teachers and students of poetry new ways of presenting and studying these poets and their texts.
