Mrs. Snyder has been an educator for more than two decades, teaching students of all ages – from preschoolers to graduate students. She began her career in Central Bucks School District in 2005 and has taught Kindergarten through third grade. She joined Gayman Elementary in 2014. Mrs. Snyder also has taught at Cold Spring Elementary and Pine Run Elementary Schools, and was a 2014 recipient of an Innovative Learning Grant awarded by the CB Cares Foundation.
Prior to obtaining her elementary certification, Mrs. Snyder taught at the post-secondary level at Towson University (Towson, MD), where she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees, and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Delaware Valley University.
Mrs. Snyder's passion, when not enjoying her second graders, is writing. She is a published writer having served as a freelance writer/editor for several regional magazines covering financial, travel, and educational topics. Mrs. Snyder, and her husband Kurt, relocated to beautiful Bucks County from Baltimore 20 years ago. She enjoys spending her summers in Fenwick Island, DE.
She is mom to Grayson, a senior at Shippensburg University, and Garrett, a senior at CB East High School. Finally, anyone who knows her, understands her love of dogs -- especially her two Westies named Lilly and Oliver. She is also a supporter and advocate for the Roxy Reading Therapy Dog program and welcomes therapy dogs into her classroom.
